Berliners! Where should I go record shopping?

I'm off to Berlin in a week and I intend to spend as much time as possible in record shops. Which ones should I check out?

I guess I'm looking for microhouse, minimal techno, very small electro, the usual electronic stuff, but surprises are welcome too. I've started a list, here:

Can you help narrow it down, or indeed widen it out?

das drehmoment / radio nord has mostly hard ebm-style records, neurotitan focuses on obscure experimental stuff and boteca appeared to be closed the last time i was there. hardwax are exactly what youre looking for.

Your blogged list is pretty comprehensive. I just discovered Freizeitglauben yesterday. All their stock is vinyl, but it seems pretty much what you're looking for.

Dense is pretty much the greatest thing ever if you like noise and experimental music.

Dense is my personal favourite of the Berlin record shops too. And there's a newish place at about 11 or 13 Rosa-Luxembourg Str. in Mitte which is pretty good, although more indie-ish than minimal techno-ish. Also has a little art gallery attached. Can't remember the name.

That's the same as Neurotitan right? Or have they changed their name after the promo company that Ed and Mauro run?

neurotitan.de My fave shop for experimental stuff too.

No, I'm pretty sure I know the place Momus is talking about and it's not too far from Neurotitan. I stumbled upon it one night but it was closed. It looked like a great place from the stuff in the window, though.

Strangely, I took a picture of that street -- looking away from the record store. I thought it was a great example of 4-storey and 5-storey buildings meshing with each other on the same Berlin block.

Ha: "micro-house, minimal techno, very small electro, miniscule breaks, infinitesimal disco, Angstrom-core, and sub-atomic dub."

one year passes...
Leila M has a lovely CD selection, and yes nice staff. Nicholas in Rotation is a top bloke too, helped me out with lots of non-music related tips, remembered me coming in from 2 years ago!

OMFG at Spacehall on Zossener StraBe, Kreuzberg though. My mind melted. Cheers Barry!

And the next shop along (Scratch?) gave me some free doo-dads for my jukebox-crippled 7"s so cheers to them also :)
