Frickin A, where is the LOVE for Heavy the World?

Was in Amoeba today and confounded by Heavy the World elpees in the vinyl section. All shrink-wrapped, going for varying prices up to eight buck which seemed way too much. (Like shrinkwrapped white label Boulder elpees made from tape recordings of live gigs) My standards -- $2 - $3.99 is a good price to pay, not more under any circumstances -- for no-name, worthless thud rock or prog/psych and variations on the same spoken of in many "Where is the LOVE-type" threads. One album was called, I think, "Vog." Another was a variation of the name of the band.

Scott's the expert on Heavy the World. Is 1993 Heavy the World OK?

So I bought "Hard" by Nutz which was misfiled as Hard Nutz for $2.99.

But my interest is still hanging in there for Heavy the World.

One of their albums was a triple LP, apparently.

I just saw that the budget-prog album i had by the 70's band Cathedral goes for 300 bucks on ebay! i traded it to my psych pal dan for peanuts probably. but what the hell. i only paid a dollar for it.

My high school buddy Macky was in that band Cathedral. I think his dad paid for them to put out their record. He later was in a band called Industry, which put out a couple of new wavy ones on Capitol. The keyboard player for Industry, also from my high school, wound up touring with bands like the Who and Pink Floyd as a backup musician. Poor Macky was very jealous.

From Happy the Man to Heavy the World: What a long, strange trip it was!

Yep, the stuff I saw was apparently copies of "Dog" and "The Next World."
