Praxis - 04-06-11 - three discs worth of material that are more fun than Transmutations and give hope for the upcoming release (artwork here: http://www.koehnline.com/jk05.001/ )

Replacements at the Roxy in 1987 seems widely available on the EBay and what not and it one of their best live recordings, methinks.

Fab Foursome in Philly by XTC - XTC on the Black Sea tour. Absolutely incendiary. Great sound, amazing performance. Only underscores what a damn shame it was that they stopped touring.

Brooker OTM.

Black Sabbath "Asbury Park, NJ 75" is good. I think it's 75 anyway. I'll double-check when I get home. Two discs, supremely heavy and fairly fast; they're all playing like coked up monsters.

The live bootleg **DVD** that's doing the rounds of Tom Waits at Hammersmith Apollo last year is pretty stunning - particulary in view of how tight and how vigilant the security was at the gig!

Radiohead - Sept. 16th 2000. Not sure where it's from, but it's stunning. The second set in particular.

Do you have any live Praxis boot recommendations? The one I mentioned i available as a downloadable FLAC. It's from the Bonaroo festival, the txt file says, which might explain the mellower stuff they played, like an excellent cover of Hendrix's "Machine Gun" that sounds textural and almost like electronica.

I have those Bonnaroo recordings! I would recommend, actually, finding the Material set from the same Bonnaroo festival, it's, like, FROM THE BEYOND. I'm not sure where teh download might be available though. I usually just shout "hippies, bring me the Material bootleg!" into the wilderness and it shows up abruptly in the hands of a courrier beardo.

Ray Davies with Yo La Tengo - date forgotten/ a few years ago - there's only one that I know of.

Replacements - "Shit Shower & Shave" (I think that's difrnt from the Roxy - I forget where it was recorded.)

Richard Thompson & David Byrne - St Ann & the Holy Trinity, Brooklyn Heights, March 24, 1992.. Byrne does a great version of Keep on Rockin in the Free World .. One of the first times that I didn't think that song was kinda stupid.

Does anyone know where I can find that Radiohead bootleg? I'm not a great person for p2p so if there were any other solutions would be great!

The Tom Waits VH1 Storytellers concert (the full thing, not the abridged broadcast) is really heartwarming if your a Waits fan, lots of Waits' trademark shaggy dog stories, great sound, great set-list.

Oh and if you can find it, 'Okay' is a compilation of rare Waits songs from his last couple of tours interspersed with more stories, the 'Angry Flowers' story especially is hella funny.

Bruce Springsteen, "Summertime Bruce" - Agora Club, OH 1978. Radio broadcast/board copy. He sounds so young, it's by far my favorite live Bruce.
