Goddamnit why is there no T. Rex thread as such?

We've got a few comparisons and discussions and observations on individual songs and bits about Bolan, and this thread is a good one about Mr. Bolan overall, so don't ignore it. But right now I'm listening to the Visconti-overseen remaster of Electric Warrior from a couple of years back and "Get It On" is playing and Jesus H perfection is in my speakers. HONOR THE BOPPING ELF!

I picked up a vinyl copy of Tanx last week for cheap. This record is supposed to be the beginning of the downward slide but it's still rock'n'roll to me. Not EW/Slider level, but good just the same.

yeah I love that remaster. the first T Rex cd I ever bought, it sounds amazing!

Is there a delux or remastered version of Tanx on the market?

Yup, all the albums from the first Tyrannosaurus Rex albums through Dandy in the Underworld have gotten scrubbed up and cleaned up and etc. issues, happily.

Tanx is fantastic! "Country Honey" is my secret favorite.

Tanx rules. "Electric Slim and the Factory Hen" is my favorite. The one after that (Zinc Alloy) I'm not so sure about. I always say this, but the last album, Dandy in the Underworld, is great.

I love Zinc Alloy and listen to it far more often than Tanx or Dandy in the Underworld. But I sympathize with the appreciation for underappreciated TREX albums

Oh man, he would be having the goddamn time of his life. Imagine what the continuing Bolan/Bowie wars would have been like!

All my T-Rex is on vinyl -- worth it to pick up these remasters?

Hahah. I am wisely shown up. :-) (I think it was because I was searching by the *hahem* correct spelling. ;-))

I'd say it is, Mark -- but let us continue discussion on the other thread, which I will tweak a touch in terms of the title.
