Where is the love for Mauritanian music?

I genuinely don't get the fact that I seem to be the only person who has ever mentioned it on ILM. It's not as though I know much about it myself, but I think it could appeal to some of you who wouldn't like some of the related types of music I like.

This Dimi Mint Abba has some good stuff on it, as does this one, though neither is entirely satisfactory. (The live performance I saw was great.)
