Ultra-polished German kitch disco from the 80s vs. overplayed German kitch rave from the 90s. Who is the worst?

I actually like Scooter for their Just-Past-The-Best-Before-Date trance beats and (un)intentionally funny rhymes. Modern Talking, from what little I've heard of 'em, are just bland ESL synthpop.

I don't remember Modern Talking, but I will never forget SCOOTER. Apparently they almost represented Germany in the Eurovision last year. Also, I think they are actually more popular now than they were in the 1980s, which is astonishing.

Take off your shirts and await further instructions.

Well, they had hits in non-mainland-Europe this decade, but they were MASSIVE in the 90s. They have some godlike singles, really, "The Logical Song" seemed such a weird one to break for them as they really have a lot better.

"Maria (I Like It Loud)" and "Shake It" since then are miles better than that too.

They made it through to the final two for the German Eurovision selection last year. Public overwhelmingly went for the ugly man singing a soulful pop ballad. (Scooter's song wasn't great either).

Wow, you've distilled the essence of Scooter into a single sentence! Also, some of their B-side instrumentals are criminally underrated.

two years pass...

I like that album of acoustic tunes they did.
