King Diamond Live - C/D

I've wanted to see this ever since high school, and this month I will have my chance. I'm sure it will be classic, but has anyone seen the King live and have an opinion? Does he do all of the crazy voices and act out his albums like a death metal opera?

Hopefully it'll be better than his recent-ish DVD where he tells a scary story sitting in what looks like the conference room of Wernham-Hogg.

He's playing here soon with Nile and Black Dahlia Murder. Trouble with the line-up is that King Diamond always seemed o have a sense of mischievous fun about him, whereas Nile and that other silly band seem to take themselves rather seriously.

Cosign. Saw him live for the first time last year after being a fan for literally 2/3 of my life, and it did not disappoint. At all. See him!

I've never seen a bunch of grown men so excited to watch an overgrown kid with makeup serve his grandma tea.

("Black Horsemen" is a great song to hear as night falls outdoors, too.....)

Lifelong fan, finally got to see him on Halloween of last year. Amazing night; virtuosic vocal performance paired with an over the top stage show. Surpassed my already high expectations!

I am so excited for the show on 11/5.

He is performing at a local musical theatre here.

Which normally gets Off-Broadway and opera.

Also Abigail 2 is better than I remembered

I saw him two months ago in Denmark, it was glorious. The set design was a tall three-story construction with twin staircases (as you might expect, someone gets pushed down one at some point), so I'd imagine they chose the theater/opera venue for a reason.
