Adam, natch.

It sounds like, well, a harder earlier Bis.
I'll take Ant, thanks.

Both v. good but Adam is frickin' Adam, regrettable recent events aside. I'd be all for the Bloc Party recording a slew of brilliant albums and singles myself, but until then Mr. Ant and Mr. Pirroni and all are untouchable.

In any case, while I like what I've heard from the Bloc Party, they're no Adam & the Ants (or not yet, at least).

AATS, anyway.
― Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 4 April 2005 18:30 (twenty years ago)
Yeah, but this is true for most of these new bands. I mean, when were the guys in The Bravery born?

Agreed.

Because then you get The Epoxies. And that's a bad thing.
― donut debonair (donut), Monday, 4 April 2005 18:35 (twenty years ago)
that being said, threads like this are blatantly ridiculous, because how is a band with a single good album going to compare against a band with several really great albums? BP hasn't reached the same level of its career AATA did, so AATA will obviously win every time because they were more fully developed. :P

they were supposed to perform but didn't because the singer's voice was thrashed
Well that should make tonight's show in Boston lovely. Just lovely.
