Went to Derby to see them tonight with the g/f (big fan). Nice small-ish venue too - very loud.

Now, I know the general opinion on the Taffs here, but really ... about half way through, we got a slowed-down evil-red-lights-and-smoke version of "Archives Of Pain" which reminded me of nowt less than Swans - absolutely awesome. Add quite vicious readings of "Of Walking Abortion", "Ifwhiteamerica...." and "Faster" together with rip-roaring "Generation Terrorists" stuff and it made me think LOOK, YOU CAN DO THIS, WHY HAVE YOU SPENT THE LAST 8 YEARS WRITING THROWAWAY AOR SHITE?????

What's weird is that they never used to play shit off the Holy Bible for some reason... I thought "Faster" was the only one. But that album kicks so much ass it's unbelievable.

Aye - I suppose it's akin to New Order exhuming JD. But it was bloody marvellous. And it sparked a rush for the bar, which is always a recommendation.
