Ha! I vaguely remember Gazebo. One of their singles was quite a hit in Germany in the late 80s. Synthy sort of thing right?

I hate to break this to you but I've heard Ghost Of A Chance: a guitarist called Rob who I used to be in a band with had previously been with them. Not bad pop-punk-reggae-lite Squeeze-meets-The-Police. Recordeded a couple of demos and gigged 'round Reading a bit in the early '80's IIRC.

Yeah, if this is the same guy, Gazebo's big hit in Yurp was 'I Like Chopin'. I used to say... that I like Chopin... It was pretty fucking terrible to be honest.

Hey, looks like he did the original 'Dolce Vita' too before Ryan Paris nicked it. I'm guessing it's the same song cos the two were pretty similar stylistically.

No wait there, this guy had a massive hit with 'Lunatic' too right? That was actually a better song. God, this is like tumbling down a rabbithole in time.

ah just a bit of fun...thought I was making these up? Gazebo & Ghost of a Chance sound too good not to be true I suppose, must've pulled them from the collective unconscious or something. Hey Scott Seward probably owns records by more of these imaginary figments.

xpost
the guy's name is Gazebo? now THAT is strange, consider this joke DOA.

You mean you put all those schmaltzy Gazebo songs in my brain needlessly? There's not much free space up there to fill up with that junk you know! Isn't it enough that everytime I see your email address I have 'Amityville, House On The Hill)' running through my head?
