I really want this to be good.

I actually really love Ghost of Tom Joad, I think that's underrated.

First impression is it's very much of a piece with "Ghost of Tom Joad," with a touch more oomph and melody. But just a touch. Reminds me a lot of his just pre-E Street reunion stuff - Secret Garden, Brothers Under the Bridge, Blood Brothers... that stuff. Obviously sincere, a little cookie-cutter. Backbeat on just a couple of tracks. Brushes on the rest. Some synths, some organ. Acoustic guitar and steel guitar up front.
