I got 2 13th Floor Elevators CDs, 2 ILX cds.

Soon, a 1981 set and the Fall box to come.

Where will I get the time? I just will.

Have you ever been so backed up?

Hahah.

Some listening has been sitting around for, oh, I dunno, a decade? I get to things as I do.

It happens with LPs a lot, moreso than with CDs. Because I can listen to CDs at work - although that's not proper listening, and it's almost like not listening at all. But LPs are so much more work .. there's a kind of a ritual/process to go through with LPs. I have been spoilt by modern convenience. Damn.

bebop deluxe catalogue (6 discs)
fall box pending
about 48 hrs of recent underground metal compiled by paul romano (dude behind mastodon artwork)
8 discs of eno pending
close listens of cephalic carnage, sunn (grimmrobe demos), hidden hand (mother teacher destroyer) in line for this weekend.

this says nothing about the trojan boxes that i've been finding used at local record shop and buying up in turn. negative associations with reggae have been very useful; i've been able to put off buying some of those and they remain in the used bin. hooray!

Totally - my first job put me with access to a burner, 100 people with sizable music collections without a lot of overlap with mine, and at least 8 hours a day at my desk.

My backlog is only now getting caught up, and this is like 3 years - You feel kind of guilty, you feel feel kind of stupid for missing out on whatever it was that you catch up on, but then you realize that your musical vocabulary just got a little (or, in some cases, a LOT) bigger, and you start looking for more music to get backed up with.

Give me congestive CD player failure anyday...better than too little music.

I have a pile of 10+ CDs and maybe 3 LPs I haven't listened to yet, plus I'm working through my collection alphabetically listening to things I for some reason bought and filed away years ago, also rooting out things I don't like any more to sell on Ebay. I'm currently up to G, so I have a long way to go!
