Anyone heard this yet? I have a couple of his early solo stuff (plus some Loft and Weather Prophets), which I like muchly. Is "Hal's Eggs" up there, so to speak? What else from his back catalogue is worth getting?

I like Hal's Eggs, but the only other stuff of his I've heard is The Wisdom of Harry album on Matador... and that's ridiculously bad.

I should very much like to hear this record and opinions of it too, and not just a little because a good friend and all round champion of the musical arts is playing guitar on it. Have heard some Wisdom of Harry which definitely was a bit dodgy, but what little I read about Eggs suggests its a much tastier proposition by far.

wisdom of harry have their moments but in general i find pete astor's work a bit unspecial. the fact that this is on static will definitely make me check it out but my expectations aren't huge
