Did a famous/semi famous band do the scores for Doom? I swear some of the tracks from the original 2 games remind me some megadeth, others of Killing Joke... Any ideas?

It's not Killing Joke.

I think Nine Inch Nails did some videogame music, though.

Little Feat did the music for a Sierra computer game. I forget which one.

No it's not.

It may be a sorta vice-versa thing: I read somewhere that Slayer's "Hell Awaits" incorporates Doom-effects. True or false, I wouldn't know.

There could be a big market for this. Amon Tobin soundtracks the new Splinter Cell with Chaos Theory and it looks like being far more successful (in terms of sales) than all his other albums.

Chris Vrenna (former drummer for NIN) did Doom 3's music.

Trent Reznor did the original Quake's music and sound design. He was originally going to do Doom 3 but was sidetracked yada yada blah blah, etc.

well, since Hell Awaits came out 8 years before Doom debuted, probably false. but it'd be awesome if Slayer had access to a time machine!

thank god trent was able to tear himself away from doom 3--otherwise he never would've given us 'the fragile'
