Just spotted this on boomkat and I'm toying with buying it. I'm more curious about how it was filmed rather than the gig itself as I'm getting involved in a band that is focussing on making films at the moment. The reason I'm a bit sceptical about shelling out for it was that I was at the Edinburgh leg of their triptych jaunt and it was annoyingly rubbish. They were very late on (more than an hour, I seem to remember). It was VERY VERY loud and very trebly. I heard it described as 'minor threat through a distortion pedal' and I think that's about right. However, I did see them at ATP in 2002 and it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen.

So, has anyone seen this? If so, can you describe how it is filmed? Boomkat describes it as being 'filmed in forensic detail' but I'm not really sure what that means. Lots of close ups? Really long shots of people's heads bobbing? I didn't see any cameras at the Edinburgh gig so do you know where it was filmed? Info about the quality of the sound recording would also be very useful, particularly about how it relates to the production on 'read & burn' and 'send'.

I get the impression its 'close up' like the video for "the art of stopping".

I.e. avoiding the 'cliche' of stage performance, heads bobbing, etc.

Also, avoiding showing how old they look thesedays...

and how badly dressed they were, at least in Edinburgh.

Good luck on that score!
