Dude gets nominated for a Novello, for a song that was released in December but wasn't a hit. Comes second to Elbow, OK.
So he now gets signed to publishing contract, etc, fair enough...
But surely there's loads of 'quite good' songs that don't get this sort of award nomination, why this one? Is it a blindingly great song, suffering for lack of exposure?
