The new album.

Sigh.

I hold no hope for it. It's a shame, as I do like them.

But theres still time for a better title to manifest itself.

This sounds good.

I don't see why you're worried.

Masked Gazza, Monday, 11 April 2005 15:45 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, no kidding; so the Loretta Lynn album didn't suggest there might be some country (read: Louvin Bros.) influence on the next one?

I'm just happily surprised they're still together.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Monday, 11 April 2005 15:47 (twenty years ago)

Get Behind vs. Get Thee Behind = Jack and Meg score a religious gay porno.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 11 April 2005 15:47 (twenty years ago)

Do they sound like Dio now?

Aerodynamic (Aerodynamic), Monday, 11 April 2005 15:49 (twenty years ago)

miccio (miccio), Monday, 11 April 2005 15:57 (twenty years ago)

"Get Behind Me Satan" is an awesome song by an unknown and long defunct Philly band named Kam Fong. The White Stripes will make the phrase famous and earn millions. The guys from Kam Fong will keep working on cars or cutting lawns. Such is life, I guess.

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Monday, 11 April 2005 15:57 (twenty years ago)

one way you can avoid such a fate is to pick a name better than Kam Fong (then again, Wang Chung...)

Satan rocks.

John Hunter, Monday, 11 April 2005 16:25 (twenty years ago)

I always thought that the phrase was "Get Thee Behind Me Satan".

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Monday, 11 April 2005 16:31 (twenty years ago)

Is this a thread about the Star Wars lines?

Huk-L, Monday, 11 April 2005 16:45 (twenty years ago)

I always thought that the phrase was "Get Thee Behind Me Satan".

Plz. refer upthread to my post.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 11 April 2005 16:46 (twenty years ago)

Went right past that. Reminds me of that alternate Spinal Tap take, "How could I leave thee behi-hind?"

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Monday, 11 April 2005 17:03 (twenty years ago)

STFU -- ARE YOU SAYING THAT JESUS IS GAY OMGWTF?!?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 11 April 2005 17:24 (twenty years ago)

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Monday, 11 April 2005 17:35 (twenty years ago)

Get Behind Me... could imply asking Satan for his full support, nicht war? So this'll be their black metal album. Their gay porno black metal album. Bring the motherfuggin' fury.

Ferlin Husky (noodle vague), Monday, 11 April 2005 17:36 (twenty years ago)

If this isn't either the best or worst album of the year, I'm going to be very disappointed.

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Monday, 11 April 2005 17:38 (twenty years ago)

In the hands of Little Richard this would have more potential.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Monday, 11 April 2005 19:06 (twenty years ago)

eh, kinda weak compared next to their other titles, which are all references to their color scheme.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 11 April 2005 19:32 (twenty years ago)

I don't know about that -- what color do you usually associate with Satan?

Heidy- Ho, Monday, 11 April 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

how is Elephant a reference to their color scheme?

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Monday, 11 April 2005 19:44 (twenty years ago)

The Republican party, obv.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 11 April 2005 23:07 (twenty years ago)
