Queen+Paul Rodgers play the hits on tour in '05!

No John, No Freddie.

Yet, the Queen phoenix rises again.

My feelings are real mixed on this one.

I thought £55 for brixton academy before boking fee was a bit of a joke, so no. They covered it on last week's Late Review though. Apparenly for Bohemian Rhapsody Rodgers leaves the stage and a video-projected freddie takes over. This just sounds creepy and wrong to me.

If John Deacon wants to stay away, he's probably right, and we probably should do too.

Goin to see them in Dublin in May. I'm a massive Queen fsan, and at first the idea of Journeyman Rodgers on the mic made me feel ill, but curiosity has gotten the better of me. It'll be worth it just to see one of the best drummers in the world though.

The Pope just missed them.

What they SHOULD have done is created a setlist of all Taylor and May's vocal tracks! "I'm In Love My Car," "The Prophet's Song"!

Miccio.. You nailed it there. There is an abundance of Roger/Brian vocal tunes, many of which have never been played live. It's understandable in many ways that Roger and Brian don't want to be front men, per se, but I think for legacy's sake- doing a Roger Taylor-Brian May theater tour of the tracks they wrote with the ones they sang on - might have been the proper move (Much less profitable however!)

I think Freddie did the vocals on "Prophet's Song"

I saw Nu-Queen in Portland some odd years ago...I mean, it is what it is, not Queen, but Paul Rodgers + Brian May + Roger Taylor make up a pretty stellar superband anyway. Paul looks like leatherface, but he sounds great, as do Brian and Roger. Plus, y'know, along with the Queen catalog you throw in a healthy dose of Bad Company stuff (and "All Right Now", of course) and it's a lovely evening really.
