one thing the q does raise though - early house is no longer what it was (the first year) as we move into 20 years of house early house can cover the last half decade of the 80's (the first 5 years of it)

i think one of the first comps i ever bought in 1988 was the Profile Best Of House Music double album. "Do It Properly" changed my life. sorta.
