Techno/House Parodies?

I'm currently debating the worth of someone's techno parody on Little Detroit:

http://www.littledetroit.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9361

Aside from an episode of The Simpsons I'm struggling to think of any. Can anyone think of techno's answer to Spinal Tap, aside from übercoolische?

Thanks .

The Nihilists from Big Lebowski?

Anyhow, I skimmed that guy's parody, which looked only marginally funny. He's beating some tired old horses, and yeah I know, his entire point is basically "it's OK to beat tired old horses --> it's OK to like crap" but you can only hear the same jokes so many times before they stop being funny.

Quite.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but there was some techno song that looped a sample of Eminem's infamous line "nobody listens to techno/ now let's go".

Select magazine ran a v. funny cartoon strip called 'Moody DJ'. (I suspect most of it was based on Weatherall).

Does Denim's 'Supermarket' (originally released under the name 'Supermarket') count?

Base Attack, "Nobody Listens To Techno", later parodied by Son Of A Gun as "Everybody Listens To Techno".

Oh, and there's this, an occasionally funny parody of everyone's favourite Eurotrash crew, Scooter:

The "Bitter Bastard" column in XLR8R often makes fun of techno. From the March '05 issue- Dance-rock sounds like: Two wigs in a wig shop telling bad jokes to each other while the assistant manager blasts the Cars and stalks one of the models on Suicide Girls.

There was a Techno parody act called "The Pod" here in the UK back in the mid-nineties. It featured Julian Barrett, one of the Mighty Boosh. They seemed to be parodying the Future Sound of London mainly. There was an in-character interview with them I read once - they claimed that they could transmit the answers to the interviewer's questions in a way that was beyond all language, and would have said interviewer "crying on the floor like a frightened ape" (paraphrased from memory).

"Mind Control" by D.J. Keoki, sayeth SNPP.com http://www.snpp.com/episodes/3F19.html

Comments on Kraftwerk from later on down that page:
"Kraftwerk was (is?) a West German [now in one piece --ed] synth-pop band from the 80's. I don't remember their being big in the U.S., but they supposedly inspired other Europop bands like Depeche Mode."

Melody Maker had a "wacky adventures of two DJs" style cartoon, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
