Please recommend some recent, very warm, well-produced Detroitish techno with lots of filtered pads that sounds like:
Ari Brikha - Groove La Chord & the whole of Deepartures In Time
Stephen Brown - The Year Zero
Funk D'Void - Magnolia
Theorem Vs. Stewart Walker - minor.explosions

I am missing lots of really obvious tracks here, I'm hoping.

I guess all of the above are on Transmat. Who has been keeping tabs on their output for the last couple of years?

is 'deepartures in time' worthwhile? love 'groove la chord,' don't like his new EP.

what's new and good?

I personally found 'Deeparture in time' a bit of a snooze-athon and was pretty disappointed after all the praise heaped on it. Far too polite sounding. 'Groove la chord' was a pretty monstrous tune however.

Andy Stott's worth checking. He's released some great warm sounding Detroit influence gear on Modern Love. Check out his discog here.
The 4 track 'Replace EP' in particular is well worth hearing.
