ok, between their bio on this site (comparing them to the swell maps and television personalities) and their AMG bio, i am intrigued. it also doesn't hurt that called billy idol a tosser!

They released an EP containing a rather jolly little number called "What's For Lunch Mum (Not Beans Again)?" (as I recall one of the other tracks was "I Saw Batman In The Launderette) which John Peel played to death for a couple of months.

The follow-up "Airline Disaster" was OK but didn't grab people like the first one.

A lot more Television Personalities than Swell Maps - but reallt more power-pop than anything.

I rather suspect that the album was a posthumous release.

Billy Idol was (and I imagine still is) a tosser.

Classic.. The first Shapes single was one of the best early pop-punk records.. Gonna play it when i get home tonite
