(We need an "In Praise Of" category)
So, I was cleaning the kitchen to a rave compilation I purchased back in my college days and happily bouncing along to all of the memories when all of a sudden this piano loop with some cool female scat singing came on, underpinned by the bounciest, happiest house beat this side of an ecstacy overdose. I started tapping my toes and grinning, going so far as top put down the glasses I was drying and busting an impromptu mini-cabbage patch. I was thinking to myself, "Wow, I remember this song but I Can't remember who did it..."
THEN THE DRUMS DROPPED OUT AND THAT SYNTH RIFF SLAMMED INTO MY EARS, BLACKING MY MIND'S EYE AND MAKING ME SHOUT "oh shit that's the bomb track with sexy results" INSIDE
I immediately left the kitchen and began to dance. It was like being possessed by funk demons. Then, I gained composure and started this thread.
Seriously, this song is one of the greatest things ever recorded. Any dancefloor that doesn't implode with hottness when this track drops is obviously made up of legless zombies because no one with arms and legs and/or a pulse could resist it.

weirdly someone played this at druzzis a few months ago. the weird thing about this sort of non-hardcore dance stuff from this period is how sort of forgotten it is (though it was more lauded at the time). i think, er, death by dub, was the better track. but i dont think his stuff has dated as well as it might have done

I instantly had memories of listening to Depth Probe late on Saturday nights to get the names of artists that I should be scouring Northern Lights for; THANK YOU KEVIN COLE.
