Head of Femur, "Hysterical Stars"

It's out in May, and it's great. Sort of a more manic and ambitious sequel to the great "Ringodom or Proctor." Think "Smile" meets XTC. I love it. Anyone else heard it yet? Anyone else equally enthused?

Wow, "Smile" meets XTC sounds fantastic. To be honest, though, I've never really been into these guys the few times I've seen them live -- so I remain skeptical.

That's your prerogative, to quote B. Brown. But the album's really good. Really, like a high-strung "Smile," which is a contradiction I'm not sure I've ever encountered before. Others might find the juxtaposition annoying, though. I'd post a song, if I knew how ...
