i mean it's just downright insulting.
for years we had to search out obscure titles in poorly published fanzines, liner notes from second-hand vinyl, trading notes with fellow "weirdos" at live shows for small bands touring on a shoestring budget just to learn of bands. Then hours, days weeks rummaging through dusty cramped shops run by pretentious assholes who marked up the records we craved simply because they enjoyed watching us squirm and stroke their egos as tastemakers. we attended live shows of bands to learn about other bands, to watch creations of scenes, sounds, genres, worlds in motion, all the while trying to escape the horrid bullshit that was playing on the radio because it was too easily digestible, stole riffs from all our favorite bands without ever namechecking them, whored themselves on mtv and commercial radio, sold the fuck out.
Then along comes the internet, levels the playing field, making it easier than ever to learn about bands, connect with other fans, research whole movements of sound, get COMPLETE DISCOGRAPHIES! . Then comes online shopping, making it possible to buy those record directly from the labels, distributors, other fans, shops that carried amazingly, impossibly broad selections that brick n mortar shops never dreamt of
Then comes an even wider range of filesharing apps, making it possible to sample and hear any and all music at almost any time, hearing anything you want to and not having to swallow the pap that commercial radio had been shoveling down people's throats for years
and what do you pick? the same horrid bullshit that was playing on the radio all these years.
you fucking ingrate pricks
see heywood, i can be bitter too.

Did it ever occur to you that "the kids" have fresh ears, and are hearing this stuff without the psychological baggage that you have personally attached to it?
it's just laziness if it were preference i could understand/tolerate/not want to smash up things, but it's just laziness
This is surely a path to an early grave.
