I would have to respectfully disagree. Only the weaker AMT discs are eclipsed by the side projects. Electric Heavyland & Univers Zen ou de Zero a Zero (or whatever it was called) are as good as any side project releases, for instance.

In light of the recent Up-Tight/Makoto Kawabata release, I would have to agree with you. However, I don't own any AMT albums proper... everytime I go to buy one I look at the list of 50 and say, "ahh screw it."

I have the Acid Mothers Temple SWR album, and ehhh... I wouldn't recommend it.

'mantra of love' is almost as good. the only two band albums i don't like are "minstrel in the galaxy" and "does the cosmic shephard...", which is almost saved by "hello good child".
