In collaboration with this years Trip Tych festival, Transmission is welcoming back Moritz Von Oswald
and Mark Ernestus - the 2 seminal German producers also known as 'Basic Channel'. The duo will grace Scottish shores for a one off show with Paul St. Hilaire (AKA Tikiman) as 'Rhythm and Sound' (their bass-heavy reggae setup). They have just released their latest album "See Mi Yah" and a collectors editions of the album in a seven 7" pack. "Rhythm & Sound’s style remains unique: Berlin techno seamlessly combined with reggae. It’s a futuristic sound, and these tracks are essential (Jacob Arnold 2005)". Adding to the event will be resident DJ's Jim Hutchison (Soma) and Brian Murnin, who will be taking over the basement of this converted church for the evening. The venue is spectacular with high ceilings and impressive stained glass windows. not your usual dirty club venue! normally used as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra's practice venue, the acoustics of this space are incredible.
