A) Picaresque has been the most enjoyable Decemberists album for you by miles and miles and... just a lot better than the others.
B) Elevator is to you a highly enjoyable pop album, and a fantastic progression and development of Hot Hot Heat's songwriting.
C) A Ha Shake Heartbreak is a great second step for a still young band, with a fantastic lead singer
Then you're a lot like me~ Nice to meet you all!

(A) From what little I've heard of theirs, I don't the word "enjoyable" should be used in the same sentence with "Decemberists" unless there's a "Not" in front of it.
(B) I haven't heard the new Hot Hot Heat album, though I found a free copy of it on the discard pile here at work. It currently sits here on my desk, wrapped and unplayed....a condition in which it will probably remain. I enjoyed their last album -- and even went to go see them (an evening I remember very little about -- they were fine, but left no huge impression on me). As much as I liked that album, I'd be telling a brontosaurus-sized fib if I said I've played it in the past two year or so. I can't imagine why anyone would need more than one album by this band.
(C) I'm not familiar with this band nor their work.

That should've read: I don't think the word... blah blah blah. Sorry, not enough coffee this morning.
Also, Yoshi....forget testing the waters. If I'd done that back in 2001, I never would've stuck around (cue whistful cries of "if only" from the ILM upper galleries). Dive right in. Make a big splash. Throw a few needlessly declarative statements around. See what happens.

B. I liked their first album, but I don't think I've played it in aboit a year, so i don't think I need the second one.
C. Still haven't heard the Kings of Leon. Oh wait, once, on MTV2, but they didn't make an impression.
And hi back.
