MP3 blogger Vinyl Orphanage posted a (the?) Devora Clemmons album last week and I'm finally getting around to listening to it now (if you want a copy, lemme know; it's not on the site anymore).

This is wild stuff -- ethereal Xtian folk plus a mind-boggling amount of Laura Nyro influence (the New York Tendaberry/Christmas and the Beads of Sweat Nyro w/ rambling piano, echoey mezzo-falsetto white-soul vox).

Anyone? Gareth?
