I don't know what the deal is with FLOOD but is there anything out there with his stamp on it worth checking out?

For typical Flood-stuff: Anything by Nine Inch Nails

For the best album he has ever worked on: "Violator" by Depeche Mode.

And for that matter Mellon Collie xpost. And indeed lotsa Depeche.

Pretty sure he produced Paradise Lost's One Second.

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 27 April 2005 23:25 (twenty years ago)

I know he had something to do with New Order's first record and some Cabaret Voltaire down the line as well.. that might have been engineering, not necessarily production.

Steve Gertz (sgertz), Wednesday, 27 April 2005 23:25 (twenty years ago)

Produced early Marc Almond solo stuff too.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 27 April 2005 23:26 (twenty years ago)

i like his OTT production on JJ72's stuff, even if the singing is bloody horrible

Does ANYONE have the Flood remix of "Rock n Roll Nigger" from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack? I'm curious.

Flood has also worked on quite a few Nick Cave albums.

Earl Nash (earlnash), Thursday, 28 April 2005 01:27 (twenty years ago)

He did Firstborn Is Dead, Kicking Against The Pricks, shared credits on Tender Prey, Until The End Of the World soundtrack, Boatman's Call...there are more, but that's what I can remember off the top of my head. I really liked his work on Boatman's Call, it was kind of a disturbing album because it was so personal, but part of the closeness & intimacy was definitely in the production. Also 'Tupelo' and 'Running Scared' are pretty good examples.
