I heard the Blaster remix of "Dancing in the Dark" at a party a couple of years ago. Baker mixed Springsteen's guitar way up front, added a female backup singers that echo Springsteen at key moments, and a glockenspiel - amazing. It sounded even more urgent.

Huge drums, too. I bought the Blaster Mix before the LP.

Cover Me is not for sale. I first heard it at a super-hip disco party, room was pitch black, music quite loud, the music mixes in and I start thinking, no, this can't be Bruce. All I hear are echoing congos and huge drums, then a vocal snippet, I look around, does everyone here realize it's like, 5 am and we're all dancing to Bruce Springsteen? So brilliant.

Listening on YouTube to the Dancing In the Dark Blaster Mix right now -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAcLVcfcPrA -- dig the tambura! Almost forgot how much I love this song.

I picked up this 12" earlier this year, after losing it sometime in the late 80s. Weird and fun.
