geiger, you know. him of heiko voss "i think about you (geiger mix)". his debut album comes out may 23rd. didnt really have him on my list, but his sleazy-saccharine disco stomper on the new groove magazine cd changed that somewhat

i like this a lot...

the "made in home" eps (1 & 2) on firm are well worth your time too. actually pretty much anything that firm releases is quality.

the last heiko voss single "call me killer" is a lot like this.

firm also has some of the best artwork evah. very abstruse and well-done photography. there are some examples here.

isn't geiger heiko voss himself and someone else?

"call me killer" is amazing!

Yeah it's a bit confusing - does anyone have any confirmation on who Geiger actually is? When I saw Schaeben & Voss perform live (absolutely fucking amazing, one of the best live shows I've seen from a dance act) I could have sworn they played some Geiger tracks, but then sometimes Geiger tracks will say "featuring Schaeben and Voss" so who can say???

geiger = alexander geiger. hes on the cover of his album, topless

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 2 May 2005 11:43 (nineteen years ago) link

ok so this tune has me by the balls

could you guys please recommend more stuff like this? i'm talking shiny-production, stomping disco-ey stuff that would sit well in a köln-tronics set

Some Justus Kohncke and, as was mentioned before, Heiko Voss' new album.

What is the title of Geiger's new album?

James Jung, Monday, 2 May 2005 17:16 (nineteen years ago) link

brb

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 6 June 2005 21:22 (nineteen years ago) link

with the exceptions of sunday (cliche electroclash), five years (prog with emo outburst in the middle), cocain-e (still very much omg) and studio star (another solid disco stomper), the album is all kitschy downtempo filler

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 6 June 2005 22:07 (nineteen years ago) link

alas

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 6 June 2005 22:09 (nineteen years ago) link

What if I like "kitsch" and "downtempo"?

What if I just have bad taste in music?

From Zero To Drunk In Twenty Dollars (nordicskilla), Monday, 6 June 2005 22:14 (nineteen years ago) link

then, this album might be for you!

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 6 June 2005 22:18 (nineteen years ago) link

i found the album disappointing

but cocain-e is still a great tune
