If you use the phrase "mad boring," Ben Lee is not likely to be up your alley.

The Noise Addict 10" on Ecstatic Peace was decent.

I like the new album, but I'm one of the few people I know of looking for a middle ground between Conor Oberst and John Mayer

MICCIO OTM.

The toy piano on the tune brings to mind "You Only Get What You Give" by New Radicals.

"Hard Drive" is one of the greatest things ever, but the other couple of his songs I've heard are not remotely as good.

Burr (Burr), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 22:24 (twenty years ago)

two years pass...

His new album has a song called "What Would Jay-Z Do?" on it.

I am not sure how I feel about this.

If you use the phrase "mad boring," like music, Ben Lee is not likely to be up your alley.

marmotwolof, Sunday, 22 July 2007 07:24 (eighteen years ago)

I always mix him up with Ben Harper. Is there a difference?

Matt #2, Sunday, 22 July 2007 08:07 (eighteen years ago)

marmotwolof, Sunday, 22 July 2007 08:11 (eighteen years ago)

Charlie Howard, Monday, 23 July 2007 07:12 (eighteen years ago)

one year passes...

His cover of 'Ben Lee' ("Your 15 mins of fame are almost up; one more thing: Ben Lee, you suck") by The Ataris is meta-genius.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 7 February 2009 20:00 (sixteen years ago)

How about Ken Lee?

Geir Hongro, Saturday, 7 February 2009 20:39 (sixteen years ago)

I only clicked on this thread to see if there would be any Claire Danes mentions.

krakow, Saturday, 7 February 2009 23:08 (sixteen years ago)

six months pass...

He's reformed Noise Addict, only it's not the same band - it's an album collaboration with Lou Barlow on an album downloadable for free at noiseaddict.net.

The song that namechecks Chris Martin isn't as bad as his song from last year that namechecked Yoko Ono.
