Looking for ACADEMIC researches on reggaeton

Hello,
I'm doing a master in ethnomusicology. I've been looking for months for ACADEMIC researches - I insist on «academic», because I already found a lot on the net or in the news papers - done on reggaeton and haven't found much (Pacini-Hernández, Raquel Z. Rivera, Juan Flores, Jillian Baez, Ejima Baker). Does anybody know something - or someone! - that might interest me?
Thanks,
Catherine Gauthier Mercier.

I think it might be too soon? That said most likely it's be something in Spanish language institutions or publications, more than likely something out of Puerto Rico itself...

Have you gone to a library (or at least a library's website)? It sounds like you need a subscription index to academic journals (of the sort a library might give you access to) rather than free internet sites.

While the Folkways Records folks are more knowledgeable about older Puerto Rican styles, I bet they can give you some leads. Try curator Daniel Sheehy, sheehyd si.edu folkways.si.edu

Also, I just reviewed a book by Professor Marta Morena Vega called When the Spirits Dance Mambo (Three Rivers Press). Again she's more into older Puerto Rican music, but she is also the president of the Caribbean Cultural Center in NYC, and she teaches at Hunter College and elsewhere in NY. She could probably help.

Maybe somebody at Latin Beat magazine could help. You can find that at Tower.
