I've been waiting for someone to either a) tell me its worth buying or b) tell me where I can rent it.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:18 (twenty years ago)

well I was kinda hoping Lost Weekend would get it.

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:21 (twenty years ago)

Ask them to order it. They're friendly.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:25 (twenty years ago)

yeah I should, I was in there yesterday but it slipped my mind. I like chatting with most of 'em tho, the owner in particular is a great guy.

This is the live DVD you are speaking of? Or is there a DVD of their videos now? Because, if so, I need to go to the record store right now.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:29 (twenty years ago)

when did it come out? there are so many wu guys coming thru on live tours recently, cappadonna, then gza later this month, then inspectah deck

Amon (eman), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:32 (twenty years ago)

Amon (eman), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:51 (twenty years ago)

Wait, are all these threads just some sort of mobius strip of parody that I am just mis-understanding? Or is there actually a DVD to discuss?

Scott CE (Scott CE), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 23:53 (twenty years ago)

dud. not actually ninjas.

vahid (vahid), Wednesday, 4 May 2005 00:09 (twenty years ago)

it's their last show as a full group, I believe

Ol' dirty sits down for most of the show, and rarely participates...a really sad way to go out

not any worse than your avg hip hop live affair, but not any better

Space Is the Place (Space Is the Place), Wednesday, 4 May 2005 13:23 (twenty years ago)

besides the Live show there's 2 separate Wu video collections at least being carried at Hiphopsite.com, but I think they might be shoddy qualityish self-bootlegs. Not actual offical record label sanctioned devices.

So as far as morals, then feel free ta partake, the ARTISTS are probably profitting they're just skipping the red tape. but as far as concerns over the crispy quality yea, I hear that it's a bit shoddy...

Also, there's also 2 other semi-recent live DVD's 1 from World According To RZA European tour/project, & then a recent but pre-death Live Ol Dirty Bastard DVD released right before he suddenly died. The RZA one seemed real worth it & stocked with extras but I've never had the chance ta cop.

that all.

GZA played the echo a couple weeks ago. Im a fool for not going.

The worst thing about the Wutang Reunion/Live DVD is how shitty Ghostface is. He totally screams out of tune the whole time and is by far the worst MC at the show.. Im not sure if it was a one-off, but man what a disappointment.

i caught gza live last year, it was so fucking good. the only downside was the crap that was up beforehand, c-rayz balls or some shit. he's playing in d.c. with buckshot from black moon!!!!

Amon (eman), Wednesday, 4 May 2005 22:42 (twenty years ago)

i'm so sick of all this wu-tang dvd bullshit. a hypothetical jay-z or biggie dvd would be just as good.
