im not sure why exactly starting this thread, except for the fact that i just got its a shame about ray and its fucking awesome.

I'm somewhat attached to "Bit Part." Among other things, it features the album's most successful use of Dando's pet structure, the one where he sings something low and mumbly and then just sings it again, only at an interval high enough to actually project.

well lets see now...they're both cookie cutter songs lacking severely in any imagination at all. when you compare bit part to say ANYTHING off hate yr friends you'll notice the absence of emotion + energy + fun but about a girl is pretty lazy in those categories too. im going to go with about a girl mostly because it just feels like the better song and also because evan dando laughed at me when i threw up and he can go fuck himself.

I really do not like the kid shouting at the begining it always wakes me from my dopey reverie also it reminds me of Black and White by Micael Jackson the skitty bit not the song itself. Uh but saying that it still wins, against Sliver might perhaps have been a competition.

Like 'em both, but I'll take "Bit Part" - even tho that REALLY irritating (& quite pointless) shouted intro nearly tips the scales in favour of Nirvana.
