Okay, so I've never posted here before.. and with good reason, but I just wanted to know what is the ILM opinion on The Cribs? are they Strokes/Libertines wannabees? Is their music just Menswear Diarrhea? I've listened to their new album (New Fellas) a few times and found it more than enojoyable.. is that normal? Should I jump off something short into something shallow? etceteras....

three months pass...

They're not bad. Their first album had about three good songs. They sometimes remind me vaguely of Pavement. Don't take that too literally, just occasionally touches on their sound via voice and song structures. The new one is no worse, but nothing I would buy.

Along somewhat similar lines, I'm enjoying The Rakes much more.
