Joss Stone - a pretty Janice or a cover girl poser?

I have not heard any of her music outside of the Gap Ads. She sounds like Christina Aguillera minus the Celine Dion chest slapping bombast. Which is to say that she sounds like Janice minus the drinking of an entire fifth of Southern Comfort and truly wounded soul. Which is to say I like her voice, I really like her looks, and, while it is a Gap ad, I really like her in those white jeans. Is she legit?

She's a very young, british, post-neo-soul chart-neo-soul singer. I'm not sure there's much else to ponder.

Ok, but I guess what I'm asking is...am I being a total letch for sweating her, or can I potentially defend it by saying "No, man...she's a good singer."

Sweating her looks? She's of illegal age. That's a little creepy to admit you're lusting after a teen. Just pretend she's older, and tell nobody.

Sweating her singing? There're a lot of great singers in the world who sing good/bad/mediocre songs. You can't like them all. I'm not sure what "defense" is being played.

Her songs do little for me, but I have no opinion of people who like her music. I say enjoy, and I'm sure some trolls here/there/anywhere will call you names regardless.
