A nearly weekly ritual with some of my friends several years ago was
to watch this Japanese sub-titled show called "Hit Parade" (on the
local international UHF channel), where the top hits would be counted
down and then karaoked by other pop artists.
One of the perks of the shows was this quirky veneration of THIS
LARGE INFLATABLE FISH that kicked the show off. The main host was
this suave looking guy with THE BIG MICROPHONE. Namie Akura, S-Map,
and others were regulars on the show.
