For me it kind of sucks that I can't get a search result for War or !!! here. So maybe this can be the thread where we make links to threads where we can discuss these 2 and 3 lettered artists. Like this: WAR.

There's a lot of them that are a pain, especially if you're doing a very general search (such as Google, as opposed to an Amazon CD search which at least narrows the field somewhat)'

Yeah, The Music would have been especially bad before their latest album came out and all they had was the self-titled one. Stuff like Can is annoying but at least you can add "ege bamyasi" or whatever to the search.

You can search for pretty much all these artists if you use the Thread Title search box under Advanced Search

Unlike the Keyword (full text) search box, there is no restriction on searching on short words, plus it's a lot faster.

Clarification:

The thread title search just searches for character strings - it doesn't respect word breaks. So searching for 'eve' or 'war' is actually still pretty useless as you get all the words containing those quite common strings (eg. 'ever' 'never' 'warning').

You can get around this problem by sticking a space at the start and end of 'eve' or 'war' (so search for ' eve ' or ' war ', but without the inverted commas).

Hang on - that spaces thing was a brand new idea of mine and I hadn't thought it through properly - it relies on the thread title having a word after and before the name of the artist in the title, which isn't necessarily the case. Still, it's worth a go.

Artists I've had trouble with on P2P search engines, the Get Physical crew in particular - M.A.N.D.Y. & DJ T, and then naming the new mix Body Language!

Also, on the minimal tip, Luciano tends to get blasted by reggae, and Ada gets loads of Adam Sandler! Doh!
