They'll still be releasing albums, I'm sure. Mark will be in a wheelchair, but he'll still be at it.

Cult band loved by some, often cited as influential, ignored by many many more.

"Cult band loved by some, often cited as influential, ignored by many many more."

So, in summary, no change.

Mark Smith will be 116 years old by this time.

Wonder how many band members he'll have sacked by then?

I think the attitude will in general be pretty similar to what it is now but the music press (in whatever from it exists) will see The Fall as one of the most important artists of all time, above Lennon, Radiohead and Zappa but slightly behind Chic, MBV and Arthur Russell.

So, in other words, just below Captain Beefheart.

Yep.

So, in other words, just below Captain Beefheart

Fast 'n' bulbous-uh

Actually very similarly placed to Beefheart. If the world of music is a huge chest freezer, Beefheart and Smith lie side-by-side at the bottom, waiting to be discovered and devoured once the hungry realise that what is above, though appealing to the eye and quick to prepare, is mostly indigestable or contains way too many additives.

Global warming will change the seasons dramatically. You won't even recognize the fall then.

The world will realize how great they are and entire radio stations will be devoted to them.

They'll love them at age fifteen but at age seventeen find them uninspiring and tame.

He was already in a wheelchair last year! (or was it the year before?)

Either way, he'll also have lost most of his teeth. Wait a minute.

Is it possible for him to age any more?
