I'm going for classic, perhaps the best LP of the golden years ('80-'84). Discuss?

Surely it doesn't compete with this:

You must photograph yourself and post the pic, Ned.

Keith LeBlanc pretty much did drum production on every 1985 pop album, didn't he? He also did ABC's How To Be A Zillionare.

I admit i like the remixes of "Out Of Touch".. those echoed drums sounded awesome.

"Method Of Modern Love", I don't know. It's an odd chorus that works, musically, which I can appreciate, but it's balanced out by the corniness of "M-E-T-H-O-D-O-F-L-O-V-E!"

alfred - that is big bam boo
"out of touch" is not the only song on this good album.
i prefer "ooh yeah"starring "everything your heart desires"

i think hall and oastes had about 17 albums and 5 big hits and 5 small hits .

"Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid" is a rather nice ballad (I dig the video, in which Daryl strums his guitar and a rainbow comes out of it), and "Cold, Dark, and Yesterday" is everythign the title claims (and sung by Oates!).

I still find myself humming "Your Out of Touch, I'm out of time, but I'm out of my head when your not arrrround"...Or something like that.

Method of Modern Love is the cut!

I actually saw them on this tour at Madison Square Garden (to think they could ever play such a room). My friend Leo had two tickets and had had a falling out with the original recipient of the second ticket, so he asked if I'd go. I attended wearing a sling from a skiing accident and a ill-fitting Circle Jerks t-shirt.

DANCE ON YOUR KNEES!

..oh, and they rocked. G.E. Smith had a solo delivered on a smoking platform.

The 12" version of "Dance On Your Knees" would give New Order pause.
