i'm feeling a bit mix-ish as well... maybe it's time for jody's summer jamz.

to let - flats (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 3 June 2005 06:14 (twenty years ago)

This looks great, unfort I wont be able to D/L until tomorrow, so probably too late. Would you care to define "June gloom"?

The Emancipation of Baaderonixx (KERERU 4 LIFE!) (Fabfunk), Friday, 3 June 2005 06:49 (twenty years ago)

This looks and sounds great! (I took a quick skim through the mix -- must go to bed now).

I've had the mix-itch lately too ... last weekend, I dusted off some records and spun techno for the first time in ages.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Friday, 3 June 2005 06:55 (twenty years ago)

i should be able to trigger some more links tomorrow (8 or so hours from now).. or hopefully one of the first who got to this can do the same(?)

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 3 June 2005 07:01 (twenty years ago)

anyway, "june gloom" is the term used to describe the phenomenon -- mostly a west coast U.S. thing -- where despite the oncoming summer, it's cloudier than normal.. this first week of june has been all grey and pissy here in seattle, compared to the heat wave last week... it's not uncommon in l.a. too.

and surely, june is a gloomy month for those in the southern hemisphere, for obvious reasons.

donut debonair (donut), Friday, 3 June 2005 07:03 (twenty years ago)

new jbr mix (entitled "the dollar tree") in progress...

to let - flats (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 3 June 2005 07:23 (twenty years ago)

where despite the oncoming summer, it's cloudier than normal..

Down around here, it's because it's usually getting so hot inland that the marine layer gets sucked onto the shore. Last couple of weeks have been cloudy mornings followed by glorious afternoons.

(Will be providing a link page offsite for this in a few hours. But if someone can answer me this question... I'll be providing CUE files with the zip involved... however, Nero seems to demand to add the 2 second pre-gap before EVERY song, and not just before the first one, as required. What's up with that? I double checked my CUE file, and everything looked fine.. the PREGAP statement is right before the INDEX statement per TRACK block and everything.)

Listening now, sounds very appropriate and perfect timing (foggy/rainy for days here). I just burned the MP3 and haven't noticed any gaps.

I bow before your mix-making skills, these are both great. Detailed tracklist also a nice touch. Forgot how good that Rob Crow track is (only one I was familiar with and glad to be reunited).
