BDP actually has much more like this: "Bo! Bo! Bo!" and also if you want to talk about police corruption "Illegal Business" "Can't Stop Won't Stop" and the bizarre "13 and Good" which starts with KRS committing statutory rape, blaming the victim, and then becoming the kept sex toy of her gay cop dad.

Also "Cop Killer" is really a Body Count song, not Ice-T, which means its crappy pseudo metal, not hiphop.

Austin Still (Austin, Still), Monday, 6 June 2005 12:37 (twenty years ago)

i wondered if Cop Killer would come up. i might use it anyway, just because it is the best kind of crappy pseudo metal.

i've never heard '13 and Good', but now i feel like i have to or i won't sleep tonight.

So, is "13 and Good" where the Anticon/Notwist project "13 & God" got their name from?

i am nervous (cochere), Monday, 6 June 2005 17:31 (twenty years ago)

You'd have to ask them, but it seems likely.

Austin Still (Austin, Still), Monday, 6 June 2005 17:32 (twenty years ago)

Ice Cube's "You Ain't Gonna Take My Life" has some awesome lyrics. Don't know how easy it is to track down though.
