read about them in entertainment weekly. (yes I subscribe) actually liked the songs I heard despite them being massive rip offs of many others before them. but you know me, I downloaded X and Y today off itunes so....

ten months pass...

Saw FB support Giant Drag this week in Birmingham. Simply put, they are to Echo & the Bunnymen what The Killers are to New Order. So, derivate, yes, but...it was delivered with a passion and an urgency that was difficult to resist. 'We Had Pleasure' is a great tune, their tees and CDs looked to be selling fast, they seemed reasonably cool and unaffected...I think they're gonna do OK.

Can I say that their full-length "On the Wing Now" is one of my favorites of this year? Do people not know or just not care about these guys?
