so far, i reckon their best is this b-side called i got sweets - which anyone who hates them (IE ALL ILMERS) should really check out, plus dont look back into the sun cos bernard butler produced it not mick jones, plus what a waster, i get along, likely lads, cant stand me now and tomblands and what katie did. thats about it so far. they were a good band it seems.

Umm, other ILXors. if you hate the Libs, you won't like them for "I've got Sweets"...

What's the one that goes "Kill me/Please kill me" etc?

I heard it being played at an ear-splitting volume in a pub the other day and had to ask what it was. I was surprised to find out who.

"Death on the Stairs". Is one of their best ones.

i actually kind of liked the single.

agreed on that count. 'i get around' and 'waster' are probably their best tracks. like so many bands, their best ideas are the first ones they share with the world.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 8 June 2005 11:43 (twenty years ago)

Probably the best band to emerge from England in many years.

"Can't Stand Me Now" was their best song, and one of last year's best. Killer track.

Other stuff: "Up The Bracket," "Boys in the Band," "What A Waster," "Campaign of Hate," "The Man Who Would Be King."

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Wednesday, 8 June 2005 12:01 (twenty years ago)

"Don't look back into the sun" is still their best song by miles.

"Radio America" - I wish the whole of their output sounded like this.

Up The Bracket is their best song.

peter smith (plsmith), Thursday, 9 June 2005 20:38 (twenty years ago)

The first album has a number of good songs on it and I like "Don't Look Back Into The Sun". I don't think I could listen to them now though, I just saw a few brief moments of Razorlight Live on Channel 4 just now which made me declare "I hate indie music", which is rather a lie, but really who can make good all this bad that has been done?
