I've been taking the advice of people who I trust and I decided to take a look at this whole SWA thing. They've been nothing but a punch line since the 1980s, but after reading the wonderful 'ARE YOU SWA OR NOT SWA?' at Jay Hinman's blog -

I thought I'd pick up some SWA wax and check this out. It's sounding pretty good to these grizzled ears, and after a few spins, I'd have to consider myself a SWA fan.

My favorite band of the moment, well... it's SWA! I've had a "no-SWA" policy all these years, having been buying SST since 1986, and now I find myself late to the party.

Unloved SST is sounding pretty good in general - that old 'Seven Inch Wonders of the World' comp has seen rotation in the car, and unsung groups like Wurm and Overkill have their moments.

Yeah, I don't know why, but we had a SWA thread just a couple of weeks ago that seems to have vanished. (Any mods know why?) I think a lot of people probably didn't get the humor of SWA at the time.

Anyway, I got XCIII recently - the one w/ Juncosa on guitar. Great. Great playing and really funny songs. I actually just got Sex Doctor and Winter in the mail just yesterday, so I haven't gotten to listen to them all the way through yet. From what I've listened to already, "Sea and Sky" is a really good one on Sex Doctor.
