I was looking at the Rodney on the ROQ playlist for last sunday and I seen that he played a song called "This Could Be the Night" by the Modern Folk Quartet.

So I downloaded it and I must say, It's the greatest song ever recorded.

So I searched to see what album it's on and it turns out I already had it. It's on Phil Spector's Back to Mono Boxset.

Does anyone else feel the same way about this song? (I know I must come off as Gay but I'm just bored and have nothing else to talk about)

P.S. Thanks Rodney Bigenheimer.

That's been his opening theme song since forever. I think that band had the noted rock photographer Henry Diltz amongst its ranks.

Affirmative re Diltz. Also Chip Douglas, who played with Gene Clark AND played bass on/produced "Happy Together."

BTW, "This Could Be the Night" was written by. . .Harry Nilsson.

Indeed. I have two versions of it: one recorded by Brian Wilson (yup, that one) for the For the Love of Harry: Everybody Sings Nilsson comp (AVOID IT); and one credited to Diltz himself on Best of Rodney on the ROQ, allegedly with Debbie Harry on backing vox. A major major favorite.
