why not a liam gallagher solo/collab record?

listening to the shoddy recent oasis single, i'm still struck by what a great voice liam has - it's almost put into greater relief, the worse the material he's singing on. unfortunate side product of band-oriented indie/rock obviously being that talented individuals get lumbered with the same group of no-hopers for their entire career - wouldn't it be great if liam gallagher just delivered a solo album where numerous hip indie/rock talents of the hour each chipped in an individual track or two? has such a thing been attempted in the world of indie? who would you get to appear on such a record?

Strange, I feel like he should have been kicked out of Oasis for his awful voice. I like Noel's voice much better.

there was that 'Carnation' he did with someone from OCS and others. Not much cop. 'Scorpio Rising' isn't much cop. The track he sings on from the last Prodigy album isn't much cop either.
