The Ruts compilation 'Something That I Said' is basically made up of 'The Crack' with a few other tracks.

Why does ABC keep on releasing greatest hits which aren't like this? Surely anyone who wants to hear "How To Be A Millionaire" has long since paid his 20p for it?

Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Bang!"

At least I hope it was, because they only did two albums, and who on earth remembers or wants to hear anything from their second album? Or Holly Johnson solo tracks that may have been unceremoniously added.

All Saints. They are young and free - there's no bloody need for them to release one, even if they don't exist anymore. I think Greatest Hits albums from idiotic young bands are much more embarrassing than Greatest Hits albums from one hit wonders 20 years ago - it's supposed to be an honour !

Two bands come to mind immediately:
X-Ray Spex did not really release anything else than "Germ Free Adolescents" if you do not count live albums except their reunion album of 1995.
Young Marble Giants only did "Colossal Youth."
But I don't know if there are best ofs of these bands. It would not really make a lot of sense. Btw Suzanne Vega has released six albums.

Most obvious example: the Sex Pistols.

Moby Grape

Irrelevant to today's music scene - but in the 70s Dave Mason released about 5 greatest hits LPs with nearly the same content on all of them - most of it culled from his first album.
